Card users should at least comply with the following security requirements in order to avoid fraud in payment card transactions
the payment card (hereinafter referred to as the card) and the personal identification number (hereinafter referred to as the PIN) must be kept in a manner that prevents access by third parties and must not be handed over to other persons for use;
Immediately upon receiving the card, the cardholder must sign the signature panel on the reverse side of the card;
The PIN must not be stored together with the card or written on the card. The PIN should be memorised;
If the card supports this feature, the PIN Change service may be used at an ATM to select a new PIN. When choosing a new PIN, the cardholder should not use their date of birth or combinations of consecutive or repeating digits;
To receive timely information about card transactions, the cardholder should activate the SMS notification service and use the electronic banking services provided by the bank (internet banking and/or mobile banking);
If the Card is lost or stolen, or if it is discovered that the Card has been used by an unauthorised person, the cardholder must immediately contact the Bank (within the country, by calling the Bank's information centre at 145 or 8893; from abroad, by calling +994 (12) 505-01-45) and block the card. When contacting the Bank, the cardholder must provide the last eight digits of the card number and the security code word. The card may also be blocked through the Bank's electronic banking services (mobile banking, internet banking, or SMS banking);
Card transactions must be carried out in the presence of the card user;
Card details (the 16-digit card number printed on the card, the card expiry date, the 3-digit CVV2/CVC2 code on the reverse side of the card, as well as the one-time password received via SMS under the 3D Secure service) must not be disclosed to persons claiming to represent the bank, economic entities, hotels, or any other organisations through any means of communication (telephone calls, emails, SMS messages, etc). Disclosure of such information may result in fraudulent transactions being carried out on the card account and financial losses;
The last day of the card's validity is the last calendar day of the month indicated on the card. The card expires automatically on that date;
If the cardholder disputes any card transaction, they must notify the Bank within 45 (forty-five) calendar days from the date of the payment transaction by using the available communication channels or by visiting a branch. If the customer fails to do so within the specified period, the payment transaction shall be deemed confirmed by the cardholder, and any subsequent claims regarding that transaction shall not be considered;
Within 60 (sixty) business days of receiving the customer's claim, the Bank shall investigate the disputed transaction and inform the cardholder of the investigation results;
Based on its risk assessment, the Bank restricts the use of Cards in countries with a high risk of fraudulent transactions. When using a card in countries where the EMV Liability Shift Rule does not apply, the cardholder must exercise caution. Otherwise, the cardholder shall bear responsibility for any unauthorised transactions resulting from the compromise of card data:
When using an ATM, the cardholder should ensure that there are no suspicious devices attached to the card reader, keypad, or cash dispenser. If any such devices are detected, the transaction should not be performed, and the Bank should be notified immediately;
Cardholders are advised to use ATMs located in public places, such as bank branches, large shopping centres, government institutions and nearby areas, or other well-lit locations;
