"Akademiya" reality- show
A new music show-competition started on LIDER TV channel in November of 2006. “Akademiya” being distinguished in terms of its scope, organizational efforts, level of participants, number of professional musicians engaged and the budget from all other similar projects being implemented in Azerbaijan until that time, pursued the purpose of finding and getting into the show young talented individuals and offering such persons a very close assistance in building their professional career.
The primary idea of the project is competition going on between 19 young and talented individuals, who were selected following a complex multi-stage process, accompanied by sufficiently well known representatives of the Azerbaijan show-business, acting as instructors for the young participants. The best demonstration of the professional level of this project is the fact that such famous artists as Zulfiyya Khanbabayeva, Roya, Aygun Kazimova, Elnara, Fidan Hajiyeva, Kamran Hasanli, “Dayirman” group, Samira, Adalat Shukurov, Rashad Ilyasov, Abbas Bagirov, Irada Ibrahimova are engaged as instructors-members of the jury and Brilyant Dadashova is the head of the project.
According to the rules of the competition, young participants of the competition, for a certain period of time, live in the same house, rehearse and take lessons from their instructors, and should participate in a weekly concert trying to get from viewers as many short text messages (SMS) as possible. A participant with the least number of SMS for the week then meets a participant selected instructors-members of the jury in a face-to-face competition in the “ring”, where both perform live and, again, try to get as many SMS as they can. At the end, the loosing participant leaves the show and the show goes this way until there remain 4 participants only. Finally, the 4 remaining participants compete to determine the winners of the first three places and the grand-prix winner.
“Bank of Baku” joined this project as one of leading sponsors, and will be awarding each participant leaving the show at the end of the week and the winners with DYNAMIC PLUS CARDS and cash prizes of various amounts.
